An aging gangster tries to build a new relationship with his children and make amends for the mistakes of his past, but the criminal underworld won’t let him go willingly. Liam Neeson started boxing at age 9 and fought at an amateur level until he was 17. The doctor diagnosed Liam Neeson’s character with CTE. A definitive diagnosis of CTE can only be made by examining brain tissue after a person’s death. Liam’s performance is simply outstanding, he plays the character so well that you can feel his every emotion. The film is psychological, there were some disturbing scenes with too much violence but I guess that was necessary for the story to unfold. I don’t understand the low ratings, it was a beautiful film and you couldn’t guess the plot that easily. I thought this was another Liam Neeson action film and I love them but this one is different, it’s a combination of mystery, crime and psychology. It’s slow paced so it’s not for everyone but it’s worthwhile. I would recommend watching this film if you have strange and unique taste in films.
